Handbook & Student Expectations
It is the mission of Huber Heights City Schools to assist our parents and the community in educating their children in order for them to become functioning members of our democracy. Providing a safe and effective learning environment within our schools requires dedication and cooperation among the parents/guardians/custodians, students, teachers, staff, and administrators. The following documents outline the guidelines and policies used to establish and foster a positive learning climate within our schools.
PBIS and Student Success
Our district uses the Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) framework to improve academic and social outcomes, increase learning for all students and reward students for following set expectations. We also often discuss our pillars of behavior, which are:
1. Be Respectful
2. Be Responsible
3. Be Safe
We encourage family involvement as an integral part of our PBIS system. On this page, you will find additional documents and videos we use as part of our PBIS framework. If you have any questions about PBIS, please contact your student's teacher or principal.
Renaissance Program
The Renaissance Program is active at both Weisenborn Junior High and Wayne High School. The program is designed to maintain a positive school culture and increase the connection felt by students and educators. Students receive Red, Gold or White cards based on their academic performance and ability to meet or exceed behavior expectations. Cards have different benefits depending on their color and are accepted at school and local businesses for discounts, special offers and more. Our Renaissance Flyer is coming soon.
