Message from your principal
It is my honor and privilege to be the principal of Wayne High School, which is full of rich tradition and deeply values and prioritizes student success and improvement.
Wayne continues to invest in developing a collaborative and inclusive culture through the team work of students and staff. Collaborative student and staff groups are have recently been implemented as part of this cultural development process.
We are also working to improve students’ academic experience by raising expectations and opportunities for all students. Providing students with the core academic knowledge they need is the foundation. But the work we do goes beyond that. Thanks to our Career Technical Education program, Wayne students have the opportunity to train in the trades and graduate with certifications in those professions. Our new Career Tech Facility will send students into the workforce credentialed in Welding, HVAC and Construction. At WHS, we pride ourselves on being able to provide any student with a variety of academic, athletic, cultural and future pathway experiences.
We want our parents to be our partners in our students’ education. We’d love to see you at our Open House, Parent Teacher Conferences and other schools events, and for you to follow your child’s grades on ProgressBook. If you have questions or concerns, do not hesitate contacting your child’s teacher, guidance counselor or administrator.
Yours in Education,
Principal, Wayne High School
